In modern urban commercial centers, shopping malls, as a vital component of city life, not only serve multiple functions such as shopping, entertainment, and leisure but also symbolize urban prosperity and vitality. However, while enjoying the convenience and comfort provided by malls, people often overlook the hidden issue of power supply security. Backup power systems become particularly critical during sudden power outages or electrical failures. This article delves into the importance, working principles, selection criteria, and daily maintenance of 1000kva diesel generators as backup power sources for shopping malls, aiming to ensure robust power security for these facilities.
Working Principle of a 1000 kva Diesel Generator
The 1000kva diesel generator operates through the integration of an internal combustion engine and a generator. Inside the diesel engine’s cylinders, clean air filtered through an air intake system mixes with high-pressure atomized diesel injected by fuel nozzles. As the piston moves upward, the mixture is compressed, causing its temperature to rise rapidly until reaching the diesel’s ignition point. Upon ignition, the mixture combusts violently, expanding in volume and driving the piston downward—a process known as the "power stroke." Multiple cylinders work sequentially, converting the force on the pistons into rotational energy via
connecting rods and a crankshaft.
A brushless synchronous AC generator, mounted coaxially with the diesel engine’s crankshaft, harnesses this rotation to spin its rotor. According to the principle of electromagnetic induction, the rotating rotor within a magnetic field induces an electromotive force (EMF) in the generator’s stator coils. When connected to a closed circuit, this EMF generates electric current, thereby converting mechanical energy into electrical energy. With a rated power output of 1000kva, such generators meet the emergency backup power demands of large facilities like shopping malls.
